The price of rubber raw material have recently shown a more obvious float. In January 2025, the price of the main raw materials of tires showed a pattern of "three rises and two falls" :
Rising prices of raw materials:
- butadiene: the average price in January reached 12028.26 RMB/ton, a sharp increase of 15.42% from the previous month, and a year-on-year increase of 36.08%, becoming the biggest source of pressure at the cost end..
- styrene butadiene rubber: prices climbed to 15223.91 RMB/ton, an increase of 2.66% quarter-on-quarter and 25.28% year-on-year.
- natural rubber: although prices decreased slightly by 1.82%, it still rose by 31.83% year-on-year, indicating that its absolute price level is still in a high range.
Falling prices of raw materials:
- carbon black: the average price in January was 6,829.03 RMB/ton, down 6.24% month-on-month and 10.24% year-on-year.
- nylon cord fabric: average price 20500 RMB/ton, down 1.74% quarter-on-quarter and 7.87% year-on-year.
