Rubber Refining Mill Reclaimed Rubber Sheet Machinery

The rubber refining mill is a two-roll open mill used for the blending of rubber with other materials, which has been especially adapted to process reclaimed rubber to a high level of consistency.

The rolls are made of chilled cast iron and vanadium and titanium alloys, and are cored for circulation of cooling water to control the temperature of compound.

The front roll has a smaller diameter than the back one, and both have smooth surfaces.

The gap or nip between them can be adjusted to mechanically break down the rubber into smaller particles, and disperse any hard particles in it from the centre of the rolls to both ends of the sheet, which is then removed by cutting.
