Application

 

The rubber dispersion kneader is especially designed for the mixing of silicone or other synthetic rubber with reinforcing fillers and chemical additives.

 

Key components are the mixing chamber and cover, unique sigma-shaped blades, dual-speed motor and gearbox, and a precise temperature control system.

 

Rubber and additives are fed into the chamber, where 2 intermeshing counter-rotating blades continuously shear and knead the material at a constant temperature to facilitate an efficient chemical reaction and homogeneous mix.

 

2 discharging methods are available – drop-door discharge at the bottom or dump from the side via a hydraulic tipping door.

 

The kneader works with a lower shear than internal mixer, with a gentler folding and stretching action, for the distributive mixing of heat-sensitive or high-viscosity materials. It can also be adapted for degassing function.

 

It is used to produce rubber compounds for the manufacture of tyres, seals, gaskets, hoses, belts, and a wide range of components used in the automotive, aeronautical, construction, and medical industries.

 

Functionality

 

Enhanced mixing quality – Blade design and precise temperature control system significantly improve mixing efficiency to produce materials with the desired physical properties, like tensile strength, elongation, resilience and hysteresis.

 

User-friendly – Manufacturing parameters are set and monitored through a touchscreen interface, and the entire process can be controlled automatically by PLC systems, boosting overall productivity and reducing processing time.

 

Increased efficiency – Dual-speed motor drives the counter-rotating blades at different speed for an even distributive mixing, optimising energy consumption and lowing production cost.

 

Versatility – The kneader can handle various types of rubber and additives, offering optimal solutions for different usages. It can be customised by capacity and application to meet specific requirements.

Blade design

Ʃ-shaped;

ZG45 carbon steel galvanized with 304 stainless steel; curved surface welded with 4 mm thickness of 304 steel; flights and faces welded with 8 mm thickness of 304 steel:

grinded and polished after fabrication.

Chamber design

W shaped chamber inner surface lined with 8 mm of 304 stainless steel;

Chamber outer surface lined with 8 mm of Q235 steel.

Wall panel design

The side wall panel is made of 20 mm Q235 carbon steel, the inner surface is covered with 4 mm of 304 stainless steel plate.

Heating method

Chamber is heated by thermal oil circulated through pipes in the jacket and the blades are electrically heated.

Blade diameter is 180 mm, and is made from 304 stainless steel.
